It goes like this...

“Go Right” — something that turns classic video game side-scrollers into an epic metaphor for the human struggle.

I really, really love this.

Now this week has been pretty amazing for me - eye-opening and beautiful in a lot of ways, but this… This is great. Thanks, Clay for sharing this one. Amazing. :)

As far as hobbies go, I think I’m taking to this one rather well. This basically came out exactly like it looked in my mind. So glad I took the time to do the quick concept mock-up last night. Thought of so much more today and then BOOM!
Very proud of myself. Can’t wait to replace the stupid GOTY box art with all of the logos and other crap. I’ll post pictures when it’s done!

Here’s an early look at my Batman Arkham Asylum custom cover I’m making. I got the idea, now I just need to make it look cleaner. Might have to use Illustrator for this. Vectors tend to get cleaner lines. It’s basically what was in my head though, so I’m happy with it so far.

I recently became obsessed with custom box art for my games. I’ve printed a couple off, but here’s the first one I decided to try to design on my own. It came out pretty good, I think.

This. Is. Fun.

WANT!

WANT!

DMZ and some Harley Quinn for ya!

Been trying some Batman stuff lately…

In a recent attempt to just be creative in every way that I possibly can, I’ve started drawing again. I’m trying to draw every day, but that’s not by any means a rule. Mainly I’m just looking at comics and trying to draw panels I like or styles that I enjoy. I want to be clear that none of this art is original, but I’m also not tracing. I’m just looking at a panel and copying what I see. The hope is that eventually I’ll understand what the hell my hand is doing and develop a style of my own, but until then just know that this is fan art more than anything else.

I found the issue of “The New York Five” in the break room at my work, and recently my friend Vicky (who did all of the art for Lost Dog) reminded me of how awesome Ian McConville is (of MacHall), so I’ve been going back and reading those strips today.

Maybe I’ll start a strip. Maybe I’ll just keep doodling. Anyway, here are three images. Enjoy!

Just in case you’re ever wondering what kind of art I’m into.
This guy pretty much blows my mind.
